"Excuse me, why are you staring at my hooker boots?"
It was freezing cold today. Yet, I had survived the last working day of the week. I was heading home! As I waited on the bone-chilling platform of the subway station, I began observing the other people. One woman was bouncing from side to side (I wasn't sure if she was just really cold or doing the It's Friday!' happy dance). One man, obviously very cold in his suede bomber jacket, stood steadfast with the sternest of looks as if he were trying to intimidate the wind. And then there she was. A young woman-no older than 23 and no younger than 16 (although theses days you can never tell) with golden blonde hair (mind you, she was African-American), a waist length coat, painted-on jeans and the highlight of the whole outfit, thigh-high leather boots with a four-inch heel and a pointed toe!
